Rolling Greens Donated $1M in Gear; Taichung FD Thanks Support for Community Safety
To Help EMTs Serve More Efficiently and Safeguard Lives, Rolling Greens Donates NT$1.3 Million in Emergency Equipment
To enhance the efficiency of emergency responders and protect public safety, Mr. Po-Yu Chen, Director of Rolling Greens Natural Technology Co., Ltd., has donated emergency medical equipment worth NT$1.3 million to the Sihping Station of the 8th Rescue and Emergency Medical Services Corps, Taichung City Fire Department. A donation ceremony was held today (April 22) at the Sihping Station, where Mr. Chen was presented with a certificate of appreciation.
According to the Fire Department, in 2024, the 8th Corps responded to over 4,000 critical emergencies, including unconscious patients, chest pain complaints, and pre-hospital cardiac arrests—nearly 500 of which were cardiac arrest cases. The donated equipment includes the LUCAS automated CPR device, Adult QCPR Annie multifunctional training manikin, and the QT wireless 12-lead ECG system. These tools will enable EMTs to detect cardiac issues sooner and apply mechanical CPR promptly, increasing survival rates and further strengthening community emergency care.
The QCPR Annie training manikin will also support regular training and public outreach—especially in promoting CPR awareness. In sudden cardiac arrest cases, immediate bystander action is often the key to survival. Encouraging emergency preparedness through education helps raise public and youth awareness of lifesaving skills.
The Fire Department stated that while public resources may be limited, community support is boundless. Rolling Greens' donation reflects its strong support for emergency services and is expected to inspire others to contribute to fire and EMS efforts. This generosity boosts responder confidence and reinforces Taichung’s emergency medical network, helping ensure greater public safety.
